Extension Services

    The faculties as well as the students have been actively participating in extension activities like promotion of legal aid, legal awareness and N.S.S activities to discharge institutional social responsibilities.

  • A legal aid and awareness committee is constituted to provide legal aid to the poor and the needy and to spread legal awareness amongst the rural and tribal population. The college through its legal awareness and legal aid activities involves the students to spread awareness about social and beneficial legislations to the rural and weaker sections.
  • The faculty members are on the panel of Lok Adalat and on District Legal Aid Committee and have been actively assisting the District Legal Services Authority for speedy disposal of the pending cases and in providing legal aid to the poor.
  • The faculty members are also spreading legal awareness through radio talks on A.I.R, local cable network.
  • The faculty members are giving lectures/speeches at various forums on contemporary socio legal issues.
  • The N.S.S Unit of the College organizes several community oriented programmes every year to educate the people about social problems such as dowry, superstitions, pollution etc. and to create consciousness on aspects like health, hygienic surroundings, prevention of AIDS etc.
  • The N.S.S wing of the college is organizing special camps in rural areas to make the students involved in community development works. The N.S.S unit is also organizing free eye checkup camps and cataract surgeries to the poor village people. It is also conducting health camps for children and old people. Further, blood donation camps are also being arranged on regular basis.

Placement & Coaching

    A separate Career Guidance and Placement committee is constituted. The committee contacts employing companies and arranges on campus written test and oral interviews to facilitate the placement of students. The placement cell also arranges seminars and workshops by inviting experts in the field to train students in interview techniques, personality development and job skills. It organizes on a regular basis career counseling and guidance programmes to help the students to understand manifold career avenues available to them as well to motivate them to grab the opportunities.

    The college provides special coaching classes for competitive examinations like NET/SLET, Judicial Service and MPSC examinations.

    The scheme of establishing a career and Guidance Placement cell in colleges has been formulated to address the diverse socio-economic challenges and geographic backgrounds of the heterogeneous population of students coming to the colleges vis – a- vis equity of access and placement opportunities through availability of appropriate institutional support information. This cell helps the students with appropriate guidance to establish the linkages with the world of work and locate career opportunities vis – a- vis the realities and job profiles in the context of highly competitive emerging occupational patterns. The cut throat competition in job market at all levels demand a special obligation on the part of every academic institution to extend such support system that may enable their wards not only to attain academic excellence but to find a comfortable placement or a suitable career for their settlement in life.

    Being a law college imparting legal education at all levels of academic programmes, the College takes keen interest in turning out the students to be responsible citizens with commitment in the process of upholding justice and nation building. For the purpose of supporting the student in their academic progression and career option, the institution established a Career Guidance and Counseling Cell with committed faculty of well informed and dynamic dispensation.

    The legal profession is assuming a multidimensional proportion in the backdrop of globalization. In this context the Career Guidance cell plays a crucial role in guiding the students to various openings suitable to their competency, economic resources and personal options.

    The aspirant students always aim at high points. The placement committee helps the students in reaching their goal. It guides them through internship in reputed law firms, advocate offices. Career guidance programme will be conducted. As a part of curriculum we conduct communication class & personality development programmes for the students which help them to build a good career in future.

Support Services

    The college extends all guidance and support to the students to excel in academics, sports, cultural events, moot court competitions. The college provides the following services in this regard:

  • Remedial Coaching for academically weaker students
  • Scholarship facilities for S.C/S.T and other weaker sections
  • Coaching classes for competitive examinations
  • Boys and Girls Hostels
  • Wi-Fi facility in the campus

Achievements

    Around 25 students of our college successfully passed in Judicial Service Examination and selected to the posts like Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Junior Civil Judge, District Judge, Presiding Officer of Labour Court and other Tribunals.

    Many of our students excelled in University examinations and obtained Gold Medals, Ranks and Distinctions by topping the University Merit List.

     Several students have benefitted from support, guidance, academic advice and counseling provided by the college and its faculty members. Some have selected as judicial officers with the help of coaching classes organized by the colleges. Some students excelled in debate, elocution and cultural competitions, whereas some others secured first places in ‘Avishkar’- A University level Research Festival and selected for Inter-University research festivals. Some N.S.S students have selected for selection trails of Republic Day Parade.

Anti-Ragging

    The college has formed an anti-ragging committee. But the incidence of ragging never reported in our institution. The Anti-ragging committee and the discipline committee, of course, keep a vigilant eye to ensure the menace of ragging never enters into our campus.

Sexual Harassment Cell

    As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Human Resources Development and parent University, a special committee has been constituted for prevention of sexual harassment of women/Girl students&Staff.
